Native American Style Bamboo Flute in E

This is a 6-hole bamboo flute in E Pentatonic Minor. The pentatonic scale is great for Japanese, Native American and Blues music (yes, they use the exact same scale!). This scale is very easy to play. You can also play the in-between notes using half hole and cross fingering techniques. The range is usually an octave and a half, with some added overtone notes.

Made using traditional ingredients (Bamboo, Fire & Patience).

A bit of my process:
1. All of my flutes have been carefully selected from bamboo grown for this very reason.
2. Carefully dried for over a year, then soaked in Pure Tung Oil.
3. The dark color comes from slow and steady heat treating. This makes for a much more resonant and crack resistant flute.
4. Oiled and waxed inside and out. This seals out moisture and allows for easier cleaning. It also improves the tone and balances response.
